"The addition of the new scoreboard will enhance the fan experience in a big way, and not just from a baseball standpoint," Potomac Nationals Vice President/General Manager Jonathan Griffith said.
The new Daktronics video display will be 13.5 feet high by 35 feet wide. The old line score will be replaced with a new digital LED display. Below the line score will be a fully animated, 4-foot-by-35-foot LED message display. The new board also comes with new DakStats software that will track in-game stats and play-by-play action.
With the new video display, the P-Nats will have the ability to broadcast in-game promotions, crowd shots, instant replays and even movies: it will be movie night following each Friday home game.
