Beer, spiedies on the line at EL championship series

Eastern LeagueThere’s really no loser in this bet, as Richmond Flying Squirrels VP/COO Todd “Parney” Parnell and Binghamton Mets GM Jim Weed wager spiedies and beer on the outcome of the Eastern League championship series.

If Richmond wins, Weed will send two cases of chicken spiedies — a Central New York state delicacy sold at B-Mets games — to the Flying Squirrels’ front office. Additionally, he will sing a karaoke version of “We Are the Champions” while wearing a Nutzy toboggan hat with “Go Nutz” painted on his chest. The video of this performance would be distributed on Flying Squirrels social media outlets.

If Binghamton wins, Parney will send two cases of Chin Music beer to the B-Mets’ front office. Additionally, he will sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” while wearing a Baby Huey diaper. The video of this performance would be distributed by Binghamton social media outlets and, presumably, every sports-oriented website in the world.
